OffenderWatch® is the nation’s leading registered sex offender management and community notification tool with hundreds of leading agencies in dozens of states utilizing it. Kankakee County’s law enforcement utilizes OffenderWatch® to manage and monitor the whereabouts, conduct and compliance status of the registered offenders in Kankakee County. OffenderWatch® provides the most accurate and timely information available and now this information is available to you.
Automated Victim Notification System
Anyone can sign up to be notified of an inmate’s release (including state penitentiaries). After entering the VINELink site, select the search tab, enter Offender ID # or Offender Name and click the search button. Users can then select their method of notification/email or phone.
Lexis Nexis Community Crime Map
The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with LexisNexis to provide the citizens of Kankakee County with Community Crime Map. This website will allow the public to keep an eye on crimes in their community.

Illinois Premise Alert Program
The Illinois Premise Alert Program provides for Public Safety Agencies in the State of Illinois to allow people with special needs to provide information to Police, Fire, and EMS personnel to be kept in a database.
This county wide program was established to provide training to help our elderly population to protect themselves against bodily injury, frauds occurring in our area as well as to provide a clearinghouse of information for our senior population.
Care Trak Systems
The Care Trak Program is an organized group of local law enforcement agencies, social service agencies, and health partnerships that have joined forces to help those that have a diagnosed medical condition, have a tendency to wander and have problems with communication. A special hand held radio wave frequency locating device and antennas that specially trained and equipped law enforcement officers use to locate the transmitter allows for the tracking of such individuals.
