St. Anne Man Arrested for Multiple Sex-Related Offenses
March 22, 2019 – Kankakee, IL – Sheriff’s detectives arrested 36 year‐old, Andrew S. Kemp, of rural St. Anne, IL, on Wednesday for multiple counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Assault/Force. Kemp was arraigned earlier this morning in front of the Honorable Judge Elliot and given a $750,000 bond. His next scheduled court appearance is Tuesday (3/26) at 9:30 am. Due to the nature of the crimes and the sensitivity of the investigation, no additional details are being released at this time.
“I applaud our investigators who worked diligently on a difficult investigation to remove such a dangerous individual from our streets,” said Sheriff Mike Downey. “I am grateful to our State’s Attorney’s Office for their help in the case, including asking and receiving such a high bond.” Kemp is currently incarcerated at the Jerome Combs Detention Center.
