Altercation in Pembroke Results in Traffic Crash, Robbery and One Gunshot Victim

On Wednesday, July 26th, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of the Pembroke Citgo station (2661 S 13000E Rd, Pembroke Township, IL) in regards to a traffic crash.  While en route, deputies were advised that the parties involved were involved in some sort of altercation that subsequently resulted in shots being fired.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 24-year-old male subject in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his leg (non-life threatening).  While detectives continue to investigate the incident, the victim claims he was chased down by several subjects who committed a robbery at the time of the accident.  The victim claims that the subjects involved then stole a bag, which contained his firearm. 

At some point during the altercation, one of the subjects involved fired multiple rounds towards the victim, striking him in the leg.
