Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in Sunday Evening’s Homicide in Pembroke Township

An arrest was made late Monday morning in connection with a murder that took place in Pembroke Township late Sunday evening.  Sheriff’s investigators took 54-year-old, Willie C. Felton Sr, of Pembroke Township, into custody after a traffic stop Monday morning just before noon in the 12000 block of East Russell Street in Pembroke Township.

Additional charges resulted subsequent narcotics found during the traffic stop.  Felton was booked into the Jerome Combs Detention Center on the following charges: (1) Murder/Intent to Kill/Injure; (2) Felon Poss/Use Weapon/Firearm; and, (3) Controlled Sub Trafficking

“I commend our investigators and patrol officers for their diligent work on this case, which led to a swift apprehension,” said Sheriff Mike Downey. “I also extend my gratitude to the community members who assisted our officers during the investigation. This successful outcome demonstrates the power of collaboration between the public and law enforcement in bringing violent criminals to justice.”
