Bill of Indictment Announced Regarding Recent Limestone Shooting

The Kankakee County Sheriff's Office announces the indictment of Gregory R. Tuggle, 24, of Manteno, in connection with the January 27th shooting in Limestone that left a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim remains hospitalized in a Chicago-area facility.

Tuggle was formally indicted today by a Kankakee County Grand Jury. He is currently in custody in Iowa, where he faces additional local charges and awaits extradition to Kankakee for: Attempted First Degree Murder; Home Invasion; and, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

"I sincerely commend the dedication and hard work of the officers and investigators involved in this case," said Sheriff Mike Downey. "I also want to express my gratitude to the authorities in Union, IA, for their invaluable assistance and collaboration with our detectives in swiftly apprehending this dangerous individual."
