Local Wanted Fugative Apprehended in Indiana

The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from neighboring agencies last week in the apprehension of 30 year‐old fugitive, Dennis L Hogan, of Pembroke Township. Hogan was taken into custody at
approximately 5pm on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Jasper County Indiana after he was located in the backseat during a traffic stop off of State Road 14.

Some of the offenses listed on Hogan’s warrants consisted of:
*Fleeing Police
*Driving on a Revoked/Suspended DL (2 Counts)
*Reckless Driving
*Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
*Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon
*Reckless Discharge of a Firearm *Criminal Damage to Property
*Failure to Report Change of an Address by a Sexual Offender
*Domestic Battery

“Removing Hogan from our streets was a significant victory for the people in Kankakee County,” said Sheriff Mike Downey. “We are extremely grateful to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the Newton County Drug Task Force, the US Marshal’s Service, KAMEG, as well as our own investigators and local agencies for their hard work in hunting down such a dangerous individual. Hogan is currently incarcerated in Jasper County, IN where he is awaiting extradition back to Kankakee County.
