As we continue to encounter concerns stemming from the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Honorable Judge Kramer, Chief Judge of the
21st Judicial Circuit, and Sheriff Mike Downey, is encouraging all visitors to wear masks while in the Kankakee County Courthouse. Judge Kramer thanks everyonefor complying with this request.
Unfortunately, courthouse personnel are not able to provide masks to visitors but encourage anyone visiting the courthouse to bring one. While many courtroom related business has been postponed, some essential and emergency business continues to be conducted on a daily basis.
Judge Kramer notes that visitors who encounter judges and other court personnel wearing masks should be advised that the measure was put in place out of a concern for everyone’s protection.
