Deputies Respond to Christmas Shooting; 2nd in Pembroke Area This Week
KANKAKEE, IL- Kankakee County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a shooting late Friday evening in Pembroke Township. The shooting, the second in less than a week in the Pembroke area, took place near the intersection of 14000 East and 3000 South Road at approximately 11:22pm. Upon arrival, responding patrol units observed 25-year-old, Pembroke Township resident, Monroe P Clayton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Clayton is expected to live but remains in critical condition.
