Deputies Respond to Suspicious Vehicle in Manteno’s Diversatech Campus
Deputies were dispatched to the Manteno Diversatech Campus area in regards to a suspicious vehicle yesterday (Sunday, April 16, 2017).
According to the caller, at approximately 3:15 pm, a white pickup truck that was occupied by a white male driver stopped to speak with her 8 year‐old son in the 500 block of Diversatech Dr S (in rural
Manteno).
According to the boy, the man asked for directions before requesting that the boy get into his vehicle. The boy immediately ran away and summoned his mother to contact the police. Deputies were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description in the area.
