April 27, 2017 – Kankakee, IL – Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey issued a press release today announcing that his office is seeking qualified lateral entry candidates to apply for employment.  The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office is in the process of developing a list of qualified lateral entry applicants to help replace officers that have recently retired. Sheriff Downey advised that he encourages anyone qualified and interested to apply.
