Pembroke Township Murder Victim Identified
March 7, 2019 – Kankakee, IL – Sheriff’s investigators have identified the victim in yesterday morning’s homicide in rural Pembroke Township. Anthony L Dabney, 36 years‐of‐age, from Pembroke Township, was located on the side of the road in the 3500 block of South Main Street in the early morning hours yesterday morning.
Dabney, who was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Bob Gessner, suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. Sheriff’s investigators, who are still searching for the gun and witnesses, believe that the weapon used in the homicide was a .22 caliber.
