Two Struck by Gunfire Inside Different Homes In Pembroke Township Overnight

At approximately 8:42 PM yesterday evening, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched and responded to the area of 3000 South Rd. just east of 13000 East Rd. in regards to Shots Fired. Prior to arriving, deputies learned that two people had been shot at different addresses and were being transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Sheriff’s investigators arrived to process the different scenes and determined that one of the shooting victims, a 31-year old female, was struck by gunfire (in the leg) while inside her residence. The other shooting victim, a 41-year old male, was struck by gunfire in the arm, as well as the stomach area.

“I thank the rapid response by, not only our deputies, but also officers from the Momence Police Department and St. Anne Police Department, as well as Riverside Ambulance,” said Sheriff Mike Downey. “Unfortunately, these shootings and acts of violence have become all too common as of late. We continue to encourage anyone with any information to assist by calling our investigators or CrimeStoppers.”
