Two suspects in custody after home invasion

Two suspects were arrested after Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a home invasion where gun shots were fired in the 1400 blk. of North Arthur Burch Drive.  According to the victims, the suspects entered the residence armed with a handgun and struck one of the residents in the face with the pistol.  A struggle ensued and the shots were fired.  The suspects then fled the residence.

Officers from Bradley and Bourbonnais Police Departments and the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG) also responded to the call to assist.

Bourbonnais Officers located two suspects walking near the area of the home invasion and when approached one of the suspects fled. Nineteen year old Jamicquin McKinstry of Kankakee was found hiding under a mobile home after fleeing from police and taken into custody.

KAMEG Agents located twenty year old Anthony Logan of Bradley at the Route 50 Motel and after he was positively identified he was placed into custody.

Both suspects were transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center and charged with Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

The investigation continues and may result in further arrests.
